Medical Entomology

This course examines the role of insects and arthropods in the propagation of diseases in animals and humans. It includes how to recognize the insects and other arthropods that act as vectors for diseases, the mechanisms of propagation of the pathogens, the structure and identification of pathogens and the consequences for the vertebrate host (such as the pathology and clinical symptoms).
