Biography

Roxanne µþ¨¦±ô²¹²Ô²µ±ð°ù est Professeure adjointe au baccalaur¨¦at et ¨¤ la ma?trise ¨¨s sciences de la sant¨¦ (orthophonie) ¨¤ l¡¯Universit¨¦ Laurentienne. Elle a obtenu sa ma?trise en orthophonie de l¡¯Universit¨¦ d¡¯Ottawa en 2002 et est membre en r¨¨gle avec l¡¯Ordre des audiologistes et des orthophonistes de l¡¯Ontario. Durant sa carri¨¨re, elle a ?uvr¨¦ en milieu multidisciplinaire aupr¨¨s des nourrissons et des enfants d¡¯?ge pr¨¦scolaire pendant 10 ans. En 2013, elle a compl¨¦t¨¦ son doctorat en Sciences humaines ¨¤ l¡¯Universit¨¦ Laurentienne, o¨´ elle a ¨¦tudi¨¦ les pronostics neurod¨¦veloppementaux des enfants n¨¦s pr¨¦matur¨¦s dans la r¨¦gion du Grand Sudbury. Ses champs d¡¯int¨¦r¨ºt de recherche incluent, entre autres, l'impact des?facteurs de risque?sur le d¨¦veloppement de l'enfant, les troubles?d¨¦veloppementaux du langage, le d¨¦pistage pr¨¦coce d'enfants ayant un retard du langage et?l'offre active de soins de sant¨¦ dans les Communaut¨¦s francophones en situation minoritaire (CFSM).?Roxanne a pr¨¦sent¨¦ ¨¤ ce sujet ¨¤ l¡¯¨¦chelle nationale et internationale.?

Roxanne received her Master¡¯s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Ottawa University in 2002 and is a registered member with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). She is a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with clinical experience in neonatology and pediatric settings. During her career, she has worked in a multidisciplinary team with both preschool and school aged children having speech and language disorders. Roxanne is an Assistant Professor, lecturing in the undergraduate and graduate programs in Speech Language Pathology. In 2013, she successfully completed her doctoral studies in Human Studies at 51³Ô¹Ïapp, studying neurodevelopmental outcomes of children born prematurely. Her research interests include the influence of risk factors on child development, developmental language disorders in children, the early identification of children with delayed language, as well as?the active offer of health services in Official Language Minority Communities (OLMC), specifically those found in Northern Ontario, Canada. She has lectured both nationally and internationally on this topic.
