Because Your Wellness Matters to Us
The Peer Wellness program has been created to support the overall emotional health and wellbeing of students by providing access to Peer Wellness Specialists. The Peer Wellness Specialists promote mental health awareness by organizing events on campus, and also offer general support tailored to the unique needs of students. The Peer Wellness program is for students by students.
The Peer Wellness Specialists provide supportive listening and offer you support to address personal issues and general wellness concerns that may be interfering with your success and wellbeing as a student. In some cases, you may want or require more specialized, intensive, or longer-term support (i.e., to treat mental health disorders, substance abuse, etc.). The Peer Wellness Specialist can assist you in locating more specialized or more appropriate resources on campus or off-campus.

I am currently a student in biomedical biology, I enjoy playing badminton and tennis, my favourite TV show is The Office, I love painting and winter is my favourite season! :)
I’ve always been interested in healthcare and more specifically being able to help people around me. Over the past years I’ve had to opportunity to volunteer at the hospital, and more recently with St John Ambulance! I’ve built a good understanding of what it means to help out my community and I’m proud to be a part of the Peer Wellness team!
It should be an easy process to reach out for help on campus. I understand the importance of mental health in everyday activity, and I’m always one email away for any student looking for help.

Hello! My name is Erin and I’m currently in my third year working towards a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. As a peer wellness specialist, my main goal is to create and provide a welcoming environment for all students on and off campus, and I hope to become a familiar face with whom people feel comfortable. I seek to foster a sense of community where individuals feel supported and empowered to prioritize their mental and physical well-being.
Alice Aol
I come from: Uganda
I speak: English
I am currently in: 4th year
My pronouns are: She/Her
I am a person who enjoys the company of humans, I love to talk and learn more about people and their culture. I am big on culture cause I feel like one's culture can define one a little. I love sports, it could be something that I know or learning something new cause as we know not all countries have all sports especially Hockey. In Uganda hockey does not exist and am yet to learn more about the sport.
I would like to emphasize two values as I work with the Peer Wellness Program. One is Collaboration: I would like to stress the importance of working together to create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive. The other is Empathy: I would love to encourage compassion and understanding when it comes to others' experiences and challenges.
