If you want to learn more about studying at Laurentian as an Online student feel free to register for our monthly Post-Sec 105 | Laurentian Online information session!
Topics covered include; what Laurentian Online is and what they offer, admissions requirements/process, fees and financial aid, and what supports are available for online students.
There will be 2 sessions happening every month at 12:00pm and at 6:30pm EST in order to accommodate different schedules.
College Transfer Students
A person who has attended a College across Canada.
Applicants must complete a minimum of one year of college studies and be in good academic standing with an overall average of 65% to be considered for admission. Students wishing to apply to programs with specific requirements, must meet the course specific requirements in their college studies or through a combination of college studies, university studies and/or grade 12 U/M level courses. For students who have completed a two or three-year diploma at a College of Applied Arts and Technology, Laurentian has many pathway agreements designed to enhance student mobility. If there is not a pathway agreement for your program, Laurentian offers admission with advanced standing.
University Transfer Students
A person who has attended a University across Canada.
Applicants must be in good academic standing with an overall average of 60% to be considered for admission. Students wishing to apply to programs with specific requirements, must meet the course specific requirements in their university studies or through a combination of university studies, college studies and/or grade 12 U/M level courses. University transfer students are eligible for transfer credits on a course to course basis based on program requirements.

Mature Students
The admission status of “mature students” recognizes those adults without the previous academic performance required for admission, that has interests and work experience that suggests anticipated success in university studies.
A mature student is someone who:
- Is 19 years of age or older by the end of the academic year to which they have applied; AND
- Has not attended a secondary or post-secondary institution for at least one calendar year before the beginning of their university studies; AND
- Is not eligible for admission on any other basis.
