Biomolecular Sciences (PhD)

Gain academic and research training to prepare for careers in research, teaching, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and biomedicine. Learn the most current methods and technologies and develop new knowledge and skills.

Overview

Help create a better world for everyone, by improving healthcare, agriculture, energy consumption, and the environment.

Get academic and research training to prepare for careers in research, teaching, and the biotechnology, biomedical and pharmaceutical industries with the Biomolecular Sciences Ph.D. program at 51勛圖app. Choose between two fields of study:

  • Cell Regulation
  • Structure and Function of Biomolecules

Through the program's required coursework, you'll be exposed to the latest advances in theory and methodologies in the biomolecular sciences, allowing you to develop new knowledge and skills. You'll also have the opportunity to conduct advanced research, present your work at regional, national, or international meetings, and get published in peer-reviewed journals.

The program will also help you develop critical thinking skills in several ways. You'll review published research papers, appraise your own laboratory experiments, and prepare and defend a grant proposal as part of the comprehensive exam.

When you complete the program, you can go on to treat age-related disorders in our quickly aging society, develop new antibacterial drugs in an increasingly drug-resistant environment, and make industrialized food production safer and more sustainable.

Note: The Biomolecular Sciences PhD Program is offered in English.
